I have been a “believer” in acupuncture for that last 30 years. About 15 years ago my acupuncturist died. About 5 years ago I started getting cluster migraine headaches. I went to various acupuncturists, family physicians, chiropractors, and neurologists. None could help me. These migraines occurred daily and would last for 3 to 4 months at a time. I was never free of them even though the severity would lesson at times. About a year ago I heard about Dan and went to him. It took about 4 months, but the headaches are now gone. I’ve been headache free for 8 months. What a relief.

Dan has treated me for other things, but mainly in a preventative nature. I find that by going to him on a regular basis I can avoid health problems. Prior to going to Dan I have had heart bypass surgery, four heart stents, 2 melanoma surgeries and the headaches. Since I have been under his care my overall health has improved. My cardiologist is pleased with his findings of my heart and I feel better.

What a difference that made on my acupuncture experience! Every time I come in Dan hands me a progress report and finds out exactly where my pain/symptoms are. Being able to communicate with your acupuncturist is key. I started treatment with Dan about 3 weeks ago and since then, my lower back pain and neck pain has improved dramatically (on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the worst, my pain used to be at an 8 and now it is at a 1). I would recommend Dan to anyone in the Utah area, he’s the best!‎

I had been in a serious car accident 6 1/2 years prior.  As a result of the car accident i have permanent damage to my back that is not surgical due to where the injury is.  Since my pain level is normally between 4 and 8 (with an occasional 10 that leaves me incapacitated), I have been living off mild pain meds during the day and narcotic pain meds at night.  I was also seeing a chiropractor once or twice a month to help.  After my first two weeks of treatment, my pain level was down to a 2 which I had never had before and I was able to go without my pain meds during the day and cut down on my pain meds at night to once or twice a week.  After a month of acupuncture, I was able to go off my pain meds at night because the pain was gone.  With all the physical therapies, chiropractic therapies, pain meds and other treatments over the past 6 1/2 years,  I have never had a pain free day until I started acupuncture. 

I also have stress headaches on a regular basis.  Since starting treatment on those they have decreased to almost nothing.  I also have a severe case of acid reflux that I not only took a daily medication for but Tums throughout the day as well.  We haven’t really focus on treating that but with a few points added in with the rest of them, I have been able to walk away from my bottle of Tums.  I suspect that if we focused on the acid relux, I’d be off the daily medication as well.

With the pain free days I’ve had over the past few months, I am a firm believer with acupuncture.  I just wished I had started it years ago.

I went to a Sports Medicine Clinic and I was told that my IT Band in my leg was too tight and probably the cause of the pain. They gave me a few stretches and sent me on my way. I did the stretches but the pain continued during my subsequent hikes. I went to Dan and after two acupuncture treatments and one deap tissue massage treatment the pain was gone.”
