Fibromyalgia Introduction Series by Lotus Spring Acupuncture & Wellness Inc.
Think of a swamp. Now imagine that the swamp is heated to 98.6°F. This is the human body with water retention. Just as a hot-swap they have swamp gas, mosquitoes, and plenty of fungi, the human body will likewise begin to develop poisonous gases, pathogenic organisms, and plenty of fungi. This is a water lodge body. Just imagine a city trying to function under 2 feet of water. Life will go on but at a very slow pace. This impedes healing and leads to systemic fungal infections. In simple terms, when it comes to this intestinal problem, it’s referring to a condition in which there is an imbalance of the microorganisms that are living within our intestines. When one of these bacterial colonies is out of balance, it can lead to dysbiosis. Gut Dysbiosis typically occurs when the bacteria in your gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which includes your stomach and intestines, become unbalanced and then starts a chain reaction throughout the rest of the body. People experience pain that feels heavy; the skin and muscles feel soggy due to water retention and is often accompanied by a mental fog. In severe cases, it can cause edema.
Overall, gut dysbiosis or poor gut balance leads to systemic inflammation causing fatigue and pain symptoms. Poor cultivation of gut flora interferes with the manufacture of vitamins, processing of amino acids, and is associated with intestinal lesions and inappropriate immune reactions. It is similar to type one, except that the cause is primarily dietary, rather than caused by antigens. It is associated with poor water metabolism.
The treatment strategy for fibromyalgia caused by gut dysbiosis is plain and simple. Drain the swamp and improve gut balance. We can do this by increasing bowel movements and restore healthy gut flora. Using plant-based we intervene to regulate water metabolism, blood sugar, and blood lipids. It also has immune regulatory effects. We reduce fungi and increase SOD and other antioxidants to help reduce damage caused by inflammation. To combat Fibro fog, we use herbs that have been shown to increase memory and brain cell proliferation. Some of the key signs and symptoms that you may be experiencing can include; irritable bowel disorder, loose stools, edema, water retention, fibromyalgia fog/foggy brain, symptoms worse in moist or hot weather, generalized headache, need to remind yourself to drink, fatigue, chronic fungal infections, or allergies and chronic sinusitis.
