Overall, we’re making changes in our insurance policy, appointment policies, lastly, we’re starting a new referral program that you don’t want to miss out on! So make sure to read on and be informed about our exciting new changes that are being implemented on the 15th of May!
Insurance Policy Changes
As far as we can remember, Lotus Spring Acupuncture & Wellness has been accepting insurances as a way to cover your treatment sessions. In the last year, we have implemented that new patients needed to verify their benefits and communicate with their own insurance company to get the process started to have their insurance cover their appointments. However, we have had many problems with insurances for a while now and within the last year more than ever.
The fact is that insurance coverage varies from plan to plan. In the last year, we have analyzed and realized that most insurances do not cover as many visits as needed and end up putting the responsibility to cover the sessions on our patients without clear and appropriate communication. This has left our patients being forced to pay out of pocket and owing a lot of money.
We believe in being transparent and helping our patients get the holistic healthcare they need without so much hassle. Since starting this new policy on May 15th, we no longer have been accepting insurance as a form of payment for your treatment sessions. Instead, we have created an affordable plan called “Super Bills,” that will allow you to get the treatment you need without worrying about your insurance screwing you over.
The way the “Super Bill” works is that you will be initially be paying for your treatment sessions yourself. We will then provide a document with all the codes and information necessary to give to your insurance company, where they will then reimburse you. Since starting and implementing this program, we have had several patients save more money and share their gratitude for these changes!
Appointment Policy Changes
In the past, we have been getting patients canceling their appointments without adequate notice and/or just no showing to their appointments. This has prevented not only the individual to receive treatment to recover but has resulted in neglecting patients who need treatment could have received it. This is inconsiderate to our other patients and their health needs. Therefore, starting on the 15th of May we’re going to be implementing a $50 fee for those who neglect to show up to their appointments or cancel within 24 hours of their appointment (or the previous business day – whichever is most pertinent).
In order to help assist our patients better in this area (and help you take action so that you don’t get charged the $50 fee), we have started implementing a 24-hour text reminder to help remind you of your appointment the day before. These texts will be delivered to the phone number we have on file for you. Please do not respond to these messages!
If you have any questions or concerns about your appointment or need to cancel your appointment make sure to call our office directly at (385) 498-3914. For those of you who have an appointment on a Monday, and you need to cancel your treatment session, then you’ll need to make sure to contact us the Thursday before to avoid being charged the $50 fee. In the end, we’re here to help all of our patients receive the best care and treatment. This is why we’re implementing this aid to help you be more accountable and proactive.
Our New Referral Program!
Our clinic takes pride in the success that we implement into people’s lives through effective Holistic Healthcare methods such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, and other Oriental medicine applications. Part of what makes our clinic so successful is the number of referrals that we get through our patients. By them sharing their experience and encouraging their friends and family members to seek us out, we are able to help even more people reach their health goals! We want to keep up this momentum!
So starting on June 15, 2021 we are implementing a Referral program where you can now earn rewards and prizes for referring people into our clinic! Here’s how it works:
1. Start by sharing your experiences and health goals you’ve achieved with friends & family. Don’t be afraid to leave us a Google Review too!
2. Start referring your friends or family by either having them call our clinic (letting us know you referred them), or you can fill out our designated form on our new referrals page! This page will be in our main menu in our header, so it’ll be easy to locate!
3. Since we appreciate every referral, and know that it takes courage to talk about your transformation experience, we want to reward you for your efforts. Each time a person you refer signs up for treatment you get to choose from a variety of prizes from our referral basket. Get FREE shirts, hats, gift cards, or other various items!
4. However the showering of rewards doesn’t stop there! We want to reward the person who constantly goes out of their way to refer their friends and family. So every 3 months, the person who refers the most patients during that period of time (that signed up for treatment) will get an extra prize of $350! Who doesn’t like a little extra cash in their pocket? So get a head start and start referring today.
